The above statement is incorrect. The sciences of Bilogy and genetics have in fact shown that 'preservation' takes place at best at the level of the individual entity and in fact really takes place at the level of clusters of genes. 'Nature' has no real interest in individual people let alone species, 'selection' takes place at genetic level and genes are 'concerned' with their own survival....
